My Incubus Experience
So everything I just typed up just got erased so I'll make it short and sweet.
We got there at 11:45, got McDonalds, felt sick from the food, waited in line 6 hours, cold sucks, met these 2 cool people from New Jersey named Joe and Denise and got hot chocolate across the street and took shifts warming up, 6:00 comes and they move up the line a bit. I get checked and rush in.
I get 10 feet away between Ben and Brandon. Before Albert Hammond Jr., there were people tossing up balloons which was soooo fun. lol Joe pops one and they all boo. Matt asked "How does it feel to have 3,000 people boo you?" Albert comes on at 8:00 and he was alright, not my cup of tea. Too much like the Strokes. They broke down his set, which was the fastest I've ever seen.
I see the Rhodes onstage and it wasn't there for any reason. They were playing the Quicksand setlist!!! My hopes were fulfilled. I see them come down the stairs in the back and the lights go out. Here's the set list:

Before the show, I was on the phone and this bitch was like "I'm gonna be pushing you so don't take it personally." I was like "hold on" to Gina, and I say "No you're not, Brandon will not fuck you and he will take his shirt off so get your ass back there." I had a few people laughing. Then she "drops her phone" and she really didn't. I was like "She's trying to cut, don't let her through." Later she's like grinding on me, Joe and Matt. Turns out Matt found out her breath reeked of vodka so yeah. I hate bitches. So many people smoking pot in the crowd too. haha I couldn't stand smelling it. It was hard enough trying to breathe when I felt like a sardine crushed between people. Brandon was like "Y'alls a rowdy bunch aren't ya?"
Some little tidbits: Mike's guitar cut out in the beginning of Pardon Me, but Brandon was singing. In Drive, Ben had this sick bass solo and Mike followed up with a sweet solo on acoustic. The Sick Sad Little World jam is awesome. The light gloves Brandon has are cool. The stage and the light show are beyond kickass!
Afterwards, I was soaked in sweat, I lost my voice, and said bye to Joe and Denise. Nice people. Glad we met them. Matt and I hit up the merch table which was a little wait. He didn't get his shirt since they didn't have any in the size he wanted, I got both tour shirts. I wanted a Light Grenades hoody but they didn't have my size so oh well. We caught the 12:22 back to Milford and I got home by 2:05.
