i finally wrote words for shannon. too bad her e-mail address doesn't exist anymore. :(

not sure if you'd want to say
i write these words to find you
so long from that one day
in the autumn we met and
three weeks we spent, and
our hearts fell so quick.
the stars were above
in your palace of love
and in each others worlds we started to stick
we squished ice on our walks
(it would soak my socks!)
and sat at aquarius in the rain
i smile to remember
that sweet wet november
with a simple happiness i can't explain
but the day came so fast
it wasn't to last

i have decided life is too short not to say what's in your heart
i still often think of you, and
wonder if you are happy, and
what makes you smile.
when i think of you, i remember this sweet, simple happiness. looking out across our table on a deep rainy night at cafe aquarius, with you and the pittery-pattery window with flowing drops both in sight. :)
