I can has zombies now?
So, last week, I found out that the title of this week's episode was "Night of the Living Duelist".... And I might have died a little in absolute joy. In all honesty, the only way this season could get better is if 141 gets called "How Axel Got His Groove Back". Srsly. I have my fingers crossed. Come on 4Kids, you know what I want. Give me the shout-out of a lifetime. XD
Anyway, that is beside the point. The point is, my ever-so-wry observations that I'm sure everybody loves. Right?
You know, I loved it. I squeed madly. But I have very little to say. It was pretty much exactly what I expected. There was only one edit that I actually noticed that annoyed me. And it was just a minor little thing (not like the cutting the whole amusing as fuck bath scene out of 105 or butchering Viper Cobra whatever you want to call him's death in.... um..... Whatever episode that was) So:
1) The PostApoc-ness of these episodes will always make me flail about happily like a mad, mad thing. It actually falls into the category of "what got me hooked". And it still continues to be awesome and it still makes me squeal like nuts.
2) Oh man, those two Generic Blues squabbling over the food had awful voices. Okay, the one with the Jounouchi-esque hair wasn't bad. But the other one. Good god. Thankfully he didn't show up again later.
3) For the record, the only edit I noticed and marginally annoyed me: when Bastion gets pissed off at the squabbling Generic Blues and takes his bit of bread rips it in half and gives it to them. From what I remember it had little mathematical formulae written on it, but they edited that out for some reason. That bugged me. I thought that was cute. But it's, you know, nothing major. If that's my biggest complaint I'm obviously easy to please XD
4) The Chazz! The Chazz! Oh, THE CHAZZ!!!!! ♥ Now Chazz usually just makes me squee madly on principle. And this episode was no exception. But then there was something else that just made me squee even harder. See, the first time I saw this episode, I still wasn't quite into the fandom. So I didn't really know the characters and their mannerisms. As such, I totally missed the absolute BWEEE-inducing relevancy of this:
Oh, Chazz, Manjyome, whatever I call you it doesn't matter. THAT, my friend, is adorable. XDDDD OH! Everybody does it this season! And it is LOVE!
5) Syrus! Oh, Sy! ♥ as well XD You know, there was the joke about him hiding in a locker, and I chalked it up to a one-off "Syurs is wussy and neurotic" joke. But then they find Zombie!Sy (before they realize he's a zombie) and Sy is all "No, I don't want you to see me like this," and Jaden goes, "What? We've all seen you cry before." Which is funny enough on its own. And then Syrus starts going on about how scared he is and how he hid in his favourite locker and, I'll admit it. As soon as that line was uttered I pretty much didn't notice the rest of the dialogue until Syrus stood up all zombiefied. Then I squealed in joy. Because that part will never stop being awesome ever.
6) Going back to when Marcel and his Evil Hand go after those Generic Blues near the start. I love the fact that one of the Generic Blues says, "Hey, Marcel, what happened to your accent?" Because, YES! Funniest. Shit. EVAR!
Okay, so I guess I did have more to say than I thought. And as a point of reference, here are my ever so intelligent thoughts from watching the raw. Which can also be thought of as, How It All Began. Because, seriously, I think this episode can be blamed for it all.
