I finished it! After five (maybe five and a half) days of hardcore playing and hours of lost sleep, I finished the damn thing (in record time when compared to the first one and with less peaking at a walkthrough.... I only had to reference it three times and two of those times I had a hunch that turned out to be the right choice, I just didn't

1) I thought it was great that they put Phoenix in that situation, and I think he reacted really well: he did what he had to, but he felt bad about it. The potential problem I see is that Phoenix can't defend the guilty, it just goes against everything he seems to believe in. Which is adorable.

It's a real shame about the fifth case, because I liked the characters they introduced (Lana, Ema, Jake, Angel, etc) and it is very frustrating that they didn't try and incorporate that into the second game. Particularly with the "you had to work together to solve the issue". Also, my boyfriend expressed frustration because they introduced stuff into the first game that they didn't keep using in the second game (fingerprinting, etc). Though, I did think that Gumshoe's electromagnetic transmitter was seven shades of adorable.

2) I was trying to figure out where the Franziska/Adrian fandom came from, then I saw that bit where Adrian mentions that Fran left her a note to 'consult with her' after she gets out of jail. Also, I had the hardest time remembering that Fran and Maya are the same age. Basically, when Fran started crying, I was like, "Oh yeah, they're the same age, geez..." Also, I think they managed to pull off von Karma really well. From a lot of people, what Fran said would be really ridiculously chiché, but from the von Karma family... I can totally see it.

3) I spent most of the fourth case wibbling. "I... I trust Edgeworth" "I think things will be okay (as long as he is standing across from me.)" "I trusted you" "I thought you had betrayed your words to me from long ago". Wibble. Wibble. Wibble. And while Pearl is adorable, I kept wanting to say, "No sweetie, Nick likes Edgeworth not Maya" Speaking of which, Nick freaking out over Maya was very sweet. Edgeworth also freaking out over Maya was also sweet. I was joking with Red about them being 'lawyer parents'. XD;

4) "D Cups... filled with justice!" "Sweet!"

5) YES. YESYESYES. The third game should be out here in "the spring". The fourth game will be out in Japan in April. *has secretpowerzyes*

The problem with the fifth case (and especially the fingerprinting part of it) was that it was a tag on specifically made to take advantage of the features of the DS. So there was no possible way to incorperate it into the already existing epsisodes. They could have added another fifth case in this one, yea. But it would have felt even more awkward and tacked on than the fifth case did in the first game. Although since the fourth game is going to be the first one made for the DS, I can easily see them bringing those features back (hell, maybe the characters too, who knows)

Lawyer parents!!! YES! Ahahaha. I suddenly have this insanely beautiful image in my head of Nick and Edgeworth living together with Maya and Pearl as one big happy and exceptionally disfunctional family. (oh, the cute... the cute!)

*knows something about the fourth game* e.e; Well, *a* character is back so far, and there *are* allusions to PW1-5...

They have such potential as parents... Also, Edgeworth became a hell of a lot less awkward after the fourth case, didn't he? He was so stiff after PW1-4, but he seems to be a lot more... I don't know, comfortable with himself? It probably has a lot to do with coming to terms with himself. ^^

Oh hells yea. As soon as he shows up for the first time I noticed it. Because he was actually smiling. And not the nasty sort of smirking he usually did up until that poitn. It was an actual relaxed smile. And I went "d'awwwwwwwwwwww!" (and of course, Nick's just so bitter at that point that I just get all woobie..... really, the only thing this game was missing was Larry. I seriously missed having Larry around)

I missed Larry too. Maggey was cute, though. Apparently a bit later Gumshoe has a thing for her. It's sooo cute.

Later nothing! His crush was blatant... and absolutely adorable. Although if he develops even more of a thing on her... awww ^^
