The EB in Brandon (well, one of them, since there's one at one end of 18th street and one at the other end) is having a Guitar Hero tournament this weekend. Technically it's Guitar Hero 2, so everyone was in the same boat with an unfamiliar song. I kinda wanted to enter but a) I'm not that good at the game and I know it and b) I have to work tonight and yesterday was a really bad shift so I spent most of the day sleeping anyway.

But the Brother entered. He, in fact, entered with one purpose in mind. To beat a friend of ours (I went to high school with him, and he used to work at the Sun... one of his brothers still does) and pretty much put him in his place. Because he is really too excitable over this game and was certain that there was only going to be a handfull of good people in it (read: just him and the people he knows) and the rest was going to be a "noob race" as he put it.

So today was the first round. The Brother played second last, right before this friend of ours. And when he got home he announced that he's in the top eight and therefore made the second round. I don't know what he ultimately placed, he never said. Mostly because that is unimportant next to the other bit of news he imparted. Our friend came in twelfth and as such, didn't make the cut. As the Brother put it, "I kicked his ass. And he is pissed off." And I am terribly amused. So tomorrow, which is a round robin of one-on-one multiplayer matches, is going to be pretty much incidental now. The Brother knows he's not going to win, and he's accomplished what he wanted.

I'm still trying to decide if I want to go and watch the round robin rounds though. Since tonight is probably going to be long, and I'm probably just going to want to sleep after. But I hope he doesn't shame our family too terribly.

And, the game itself comes out on the 7th, bitches! Eeeeeee! *cannot wait*
