(no subject)
For some reason the Eyeshield scanlations have jumped ahead a good thirty check that, I mean sixty (basic math eludes me) chapters. I was quibbling on whether or not I should read them since there is a part of me that didn't want to be spoiled. But ultimately, the main flow of this series is pretty damn predictable. They're into the fall tournament, it's assumed that the Devil Bats are going to keep winning. So, I read it, and:
All right, it looks like it's somewhere in the second half of the match against the Nagas. Although I'm not positive of the tournament order, given that Shin and the rest of the White Knights are hanging around in the stands taking notes I'm presuming the Devil Bats haven't faced them yet (which stands to reason, the White Knights are the big rivals after all. Of course they'd face them last) So I'm guessing it went Wild Gunmans (which was the next match coming up before this massive gap in the scanlations) then the Nagas.
Points of squee and/or awwwww:
- Musashi!!!! (I bet he came back during the game against the Wild Gunmans, I just know it!) His hair!!! ♥ (although I'm of two minds about it, the mohawk is really cool but I also kinda liked it better when it was shorter too) He punches Hiruma!!! Oh god, but I love him so much.
- they've been hinting at it a bit, but by this point it looks like Sena's on the verge of blowing out his knees. Also, he's finally been outed as Eyeshield at some point in those chapters I don't have. Which just makes me want to see the chapters in between even more just to see how that went. Especially with Mamori and her protective streak.
- there wasn't enough of the hah-hah brothers save for the odd line here and there. But then these chapters were mostly about Sena vs. Agon anyway.
- Ishimaru isn't totally forgettable by the other team anymore. *draws little hearts around him in glitter* ....although, come to think of it. I didn't see Yukimitsu in there at all. Not even on the bench with Mamori and Susuna. I do hope he's still around.
- and finally, Hiruma and his ultimate drive to win. Oh, ♥ (ahahahah "Before everything." "No. Not before everything." Okay, so nobody actually said that, but you know Hiruma and Musashi were thinking it..... I wonder if they're boyfriends again now that Musashi is back. *giggles*)
