In today's edition of "Immi has all the worst fic ideas ever" I kind of want the story where Nebula is up to shady bullshit as per usual and due to their usual desire to experiment on all the weird bullshit ever they find out what Shinichi is and somehow manage to pull him out of the internet and lock him down for ease of study. Except he's all "Fuck that" and since he can't find an exit from their system he does the next best thing he can think of and breaks into their robotics lab and gets himself a highly sophisticated robot body to use for escape.
(at first I was thinking they'd put him in a robot body themselves and then I realized "no that is incredibly foolish, why would they do that")
And so there is a highly sophisticated cyber-being on the run and not all that happy about being stuck in an awkward, lumpy, physical body (even if robots are intrinsically cool). Because now that he's in it, he can't find an easy way back out and to where he belongs. .........and then he hooks up with Izaya for some reason because I ship them forever and it amuses me.
TERRIBLE IDEAS. I HAVE ALL OF THEM.
[ETA: ALSO! The robot body would have a barcode on the back of the neck and Izaya would just roll his eyes so hard about how utterly cliched that is and suggest to Shinichi that they send Nebula incredibly mocking anonymous messages about it. Except Shinichi is just Not In The Mood and, yea, it is just the most ridiculous crap ever in my head. XD]
