Tangently related: I have this strange sort of headcanon belief that were he not, you know, in jail and therefore wearing a prison jumpsuit that to go with all this spectacular late-70s fashion Edward would totally go with the punk rock look (yes, I know that if he had a choice he'd probably still be rocking that spectacular ponytail he had in the flashback which does not scream punk scene. A part of me really doesn't care and, hey, personal tastes can change)
Okay, mostly I just think it would look amazing and I want it to exist. If I had talent I would be drawing punk rock Edward. As it is I am tempted to write fic where he gets out of prison and sits around and smokes and listens to the Ramones or Iggy and the Stooges a lot or something (I don't give a fuck that this is a bizarre super-futureistic AU late-70s this happens in. I will believe that some things remain universal. Especially given Barnaby's utterly fug 70s clothes. I hate hate hate Barnaby's character design. It's just so ugly. I know it's the 70s and people had awful hair and clothes like that but he looks like a fucking gross gigolo. In fact I'm pretty sure a big part of what puts me off about him is just how icky I find that character design. Occasionally I have problems even looking a t him. XD I AM SO DIGRESSING RIGHT HERE, I'M SORRY!) Edward needs to dress like a punk and I'm going to go listen to old music now. :D
