Got the newest Sims 3 expansion. There are things that are cool, there are things that I wonder "why are they there" especially on the front of the memories system and the fact that you can share the goings on in the lives of your video game people to Facebook. The only way it could become more redundant is if your Sims had their own little in-game version of Facebook that they could update and spy on each other with and you could update your Facebook about your sims updating Facebook and then the world would collapse in on itself. (I am honest to god surprised this game doesn't have Twitter updating now too)
On the front of "new customization options that make me go 'wait, what? Why?'" you can now give the male sims horrifying amounts of body hair (I am the sort of person who tends to find body hair on either gender kind of icky so I am not sure of the appeal in giving sims horrifying amounts of back hair but... you know. The option's there now. XD) I am a little bummed that you cannot give females body hair. I want a lady-sim as lazy as me when it comes to shaving her legs. XD
On the front of "it's about time they brought this back" the chemistry set from Sims 1 has returned! I squeed when I saw it, although I have yet to play with it. I will probably do that when I start dicking around with one of my Pearson and Bolger lots. I'm currently playing with Crow and Aki and Aki is super pregnant right now. I rarely spawn children in this game because like real life, children simply make things complicated and annoying. But since this expansion is called "Generations" I figured maybe I'd mess around with it a little bit. If only to make their child be a horrifying brat or something. XD
There's a whole list of gaming things I could be going on about besides this. Like my adventures in Minecraft (I do open pit mining, I'm pretty sure I'm doing it wrong but holy shit that is one giant pit I have right now) and the fact that I just bought
Terraria last night and it beats the everliving hell out of Minecraft as far as I'm concerned. But, bluh, I'll do that later. Maybe. I have Sims to poke at.
