Edo sometimes wonders why he wasn't adopted by someone like Lord Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden. At least having a tragically heartbroken hunchback for a guardian would be suitably interesting.
Instead...he has Esmeralda.
Who is currently holding out a box of condoms and one of those horrible self-help books entitled "Exploring Your Sexuality."
Edo wants to die. Or at least have his break cut short and have the next school term start soon. Preferably yesterday.
"Mom -- " he croaks out, voice cracking, and he didn't think his face could get any redder. Because "Mom" might be fine to call Emeralda in the privacy of his own mind but not aloud and definitely not when she's holding out two of the most mortifying presents she's ever gifted him with.
Emeralda looks disturbingly pleased.

And then when he gets back to DA Ryo will be all (blandly) "how was break?" and Edo will turn red and snap that he doesn't want to talk about it. And Ryo will be all confused ....because he is so easily confused by normal social interactions. XD
