Microsoft's big non-update bricked my XBox.
WTF. My 360 has randomly decided to give me the Red Ring O' Death. Which, okay, truthfully is something I'd been expecting to happen for months now (because I think after the first year every 360 owner pretty much expects it to happen, not to mention I've been getting plenty of random disc-read errors for a while now and there was a pretty spectacular stutter/almost freeze while I was playing Rock Band a few days ago) but it just seems so entirely random. I had it on for a little bit when I got home from work to see if the stupid update had shown up yet and it was fine (and there was still no update). It wasn't even making weird noises or anything. Then I go to turn it on again a few minutes ago and it goes red ring on me.
So, um. I guess I need a new XBox. Fortunately the Arcade bundles price-dropped again recently (I think they might be cheaper than Wiis now even) Man, and I was so close to getting the endless setlist unlocked in Rock Band 2 too.....
