Well, I feel good. I feel like NKU is potentially a good choice for me. Granted, to a certain extent, this could just be first-day optimism. But, I certainly don't have a case of the Monday's.
Today, I started class an 9. I had Intro to Logic, which I think will be fun. THe teacher seems pretty cool. From what I have heard, he is easy, and if you are into Philosophy, you will enjoy yourself. Then, I had an hour break, where I met up with Dunce. Afterward, I went to Essentials of Theatre (I am taking this class with Jay Taylor and Ashley Bowman from PA...). I think that class will also be fun. Sandy seems like a really cool teacher. I met up with a girl, Shannon, I met at Orientation. She seems pretty cool. So, at least there is someone that I get along with in the class. After Essentials, I walked over to Comparative Arts. I had no idea what to expect in terms of this class. Turns out, it is mostly about tracing trends (in clothing, music, art, etc.) through the ages. COuld be fun. The teacher is cool. We have to do a research paper, and the example for a title he gave us was,
“There’s nothing new in history, only a re-interpretation” Or “Are we doomed to repeat the mistakes of Bell-Bottoms”
So, yeah. That should be good times. I have that class with Ali Willis, Shannon, and Jay. What a rag-tag group of people.
All of that, and I got out at 1. Not bad, not bad.
Now, I am still at the campus, because I found out today that I have a meeting with the Theatre Department at Seven. I woke up late and forgot to grab money of food, but my mother just called and offered to take me out to Dinner. Thank you, tummy Gods.
Now, I am going to go home after the meeting, and work like a madman to find a monologue and song. Wish me luck!
MIchael.
