When I woke up this morning, you were on my mind! I mean, it`s YOU who deserves all the credit on this day! First you created my mom and dad. You got them to meet on a tree lined street in Manhattan and fall in love. It was YOU who whispered in their ears to have a family, and they heard you!
After years of trying to have children, you blessed them with Lenny on October 30, 1946, and sort of blessed them with me on July 12, 1948! I say "sort" of blessed, because you did make me a handful! Thank you for helping them survive my childhood with their sanity intact!
Hey, there is so much I have to thank you for! Thank you for ME! Oh, you were in a fun and whimsical mood when you put me together. I appreciate you for making me unique and very huggable. Thank you for blessing me with the ability to laugh at myself and be able to make others laugh. That`s actually my favorite part of me!
Thank you for making me sensitive… all right, extremely sensitive. Thank you for making me a people person… and an animal lover. Thank you for helping me face my fears. You know, I prayed to you during many dark hours, and I know you heard my prayers because you kept me strong and focused.
Thank you for letting me do your work here on this earth, and oh, how I have loved it! So, on my birthday today, I have YOU to thank! Even though I act and dream like a kid, today I`m entering the 58th year of living. I don`t know how many more birthdays you have planned for me, but please know I`ll take every year that you give me and live it to the fullest!
