Got to admit, it's getting better...
Life is improving by the day. I've been interning at PETA since Monday of last week, and as of today, I've officially been offered the position of Summer Campaign Coordinator. This position is paid (much more than my internship), and basically involves going on the Warped Tour and tabling various concerts and events as a representative of PETA. Apparently it's very rare for an intern to be offered a position this quickly, but they said that the staff unanimously agreed that I was the guy for the job.
I told them that I plan on backpacking in Europe for a month over the summer, and that it may conflict with the position. Their response? They said that's perfectly fine. They will pay my airfare to fly back to Norfolk, and provide a replacement for the month on the tour that I am gone. How fucking sweet is that?!?
I'm attempting to restrain my joy and not splurge my pleasure all over the keyboard, but god damn this feels good.
