10:00am - Woke up in Fairfax (I forgot I had driven here last night), ready to rock.
11:00am - Picked up a Non-Heavyweight Champion Rick Powderly as his residence.
11:01-3:30 - Travel to NYC for what was to be a highly anticipated concert.
3:30-8:00pm - Sit in front of Irving Plaza in NYC, meet many other ticketholders, and consume 2 beef kabobs, due to the stand being right next to me in line.
8:00 - Doors open for the Green Day "American Idiot" CD Release Concert.
9:15 - Green Day hits the stage, packing in the entire new album from start to finish, followed by 3 previous hits, and concluding with a randy rendition of "We are the champions", complete with Freddie Mercury-esque duct tape moustache.
11:00pm - Concert ends, and I have concluded it to be randomly assorted in the top 3 of the 113 shows I've seen in the past 4 years.
11:00-12:15am - Wait by the side exit of the building, for the heroes to emerge and sign autographs.
12:15am - Billie Joe, Mike, and Tre hit the scene to sign but 10 people's autographs (myself and Rick both included). I got all three of their autographs on my ticket, plus Tre signed his "Tre Cool is fun!".
12:30am - Pick up the car, and sacrifice $24 for NYC parking.
12:30-1:15am - Get lost in NYC, in a desperate search for the Holland Tunnel.
1:15am - Finally make our way out of the city, and stop to fill up with gas.
1:16am - I consume 2 Mountain Dew brand energy drinks, thus giving me the energy to write this entry.
1:16-5:54am - Drive back to Fairfax from NYC
The plan now??
To sleep for 45 minutes, only to rise again to drive back to Norfolk and attend class by 10am.
This my friends, is the rock n roll lifestyle.
