HAHAHA. I HAVE THIS PROBLEM WITH KID. It is slightly better in that I know I have at least one apper for one of his weapons, but. sob.

Part of what helps me with Kid - and I don't know if this would work with Ren, since I am mostly canon-blind when it comes to Shaman King - is that he can adjust his fighting style and does canonically fight a couple times without his weapons. It ... does help that he's not a fight 'tard, though, so I can easily dodge that bullet (harrharr) if need be. Maka's kind of in the same situation!

Sob, I am no help. FIND SOMEONE TOPPABLE AND PICSPAM THEM WITH BASON STUFF UNTIL THEY CAVE.

Parrrrt of it is that -- while there's no given age, I'm fairly certain that Bason is only counselor-appable, so. Sob. ._.a

The thing is, I was talking about it with Horo -- in sheer terms of regular hand-to-hand combat, Ren could probably trounce everyone in the regular cast for Shaman King -- but part of the problem is that he also overestimates his ability because like I told Soubi, Bason tends to compensate/enhance his strength. RIGHT NOW I am thinking I will go with the advice Devit had, and. IF one of the potential appers I've spoken with can app the character she wants, I'd have the perfect excuse to have Ren learn a different style. SO. I WILL BE ROLLING WITH THE PUNCHES.

YEAH I figured that, he's very definitely counselor appable only - ditto Amidamaru. I SAW THAT MUCH i should watch more. It just means you have two weeks to hone your topping skills! YOU CAN DO IT.

SOB, I thought so. XD We have a potential Amidamaru, so now I just need to FIGHT HARD for his Chinese BFF. :( Read it instead. It has aliens and fighting bears and Princess Hao.

... also idk if this would help, but as long as he doesn't get, you know, seriously hacked off at someone, Robert is actually decent at fighting with people and pulling himself back to match their pace (lolo refusing to use his uber-godmode skills in a fight just because his opponent wouldn't stand a chance, what). SO. If you ever need Ren to blow off steam with a bit of a godmode who won't RAPE HIM and will adjust his style according to his opponent's in a fair fight, I am game. :(d

I SHOULD DO THAT. I know Lyserg wants a Marco, and Marco is also very much a counselor. And I can cheat horribly and upload icons of Ren when he was tiny. ... I'mma hafta spend my break today going through scans. RECHARGE FIRST! \o/ Though to be fair, I hadn't gotten to the alien, and Horo had to show me a picture link to prove it. ... his name is Rutherford, apparently.

THAT MIGHT BE REALLY REALLY GOOD, actually. Uh, how suscpetible is Robert at getting mad at people who're really full of themselves and with a tendency towards insulting people? Because if he can keep his cool for that, I would like to give it a shot at some point, lololol fighting 'tards who don't know when to give up. ;o;

See, Robert is the sort that kiiind of rolls with the punches or finds that stuff hilarious - in a "haha oh you humans" way. It. It's definitely better now that I've updated him, but he can keep his cool as long as his monster buttons aren't pressed (BASICALLY, being called a monster or referred to as one has the very high possibility of making Robert just nasty in normal conversation and absolutely vicious in a fight). He does a lot of trash talking himself when he gets into it, so he can take it!
