Hello LJ, it's been awhile!!! I need to start using this again :)
Well yesterday for the first time I make cake pops for my friend Margaret for her Birthday. I will be giving them to her today (I don't think she reads LJ...)

1 Canister of icing (again your choice of flavor)
2 packages of wiltons meltable candies
Decorative sprinkles
Lollipop sticks (you can get these at michaels craft store)
Lollipop wrapper
ribbon (or something to tie it shut)
Make the package of cake mix the way the box instructs you. Once the cake is done let it sit a few hours, until it is completely cool. The easiest thing to do is make the cake the day before you make the cake pops, it will be a much faster process!
Once the cake is cool crumble the cake into a bowl and add 3/4 the canister of icing. Place Wax paper on top of a cookie sheet. Once completely mixed, roll the mixture into about 1 inch balls and place on cookie sheet. Place in freezer for 1/2 hour to 1 hour.
After taking the cookie sheet out of the freezer, prepare 1 package of the meltable candies the way the package instructs you to do so. (I used the microwave method on the package). When the candies are melted, take one end of the lollipop stick and dip it into the melted candy, and place in cake ball. Once you have done that to all the cake balls, place in the fridge for about 15 mins for candy to set.
Once you take out the cake pop sticks, you may have to remelt your candy melt. Scoop some melted candy into a tablespoon and carefully roll the cake ball in the candy until completely covered. If you would like to decorate with sprinkles, sprinkle the sprinkles onto the candy before it hardens. and That's it!
