Had a gig today!
I had a gig today at a club. It was improv night. I wanted to make an impression, so I dyed my hair lime green (used washout hair dye) and spiked it all over. I also had an electric blue lightning bolt on the side of my face as a shameless tribute to Bowie, so in the end I looked like a 70's alien tranny (which I consider to be a good thing). I wanted to use my electric violin to complet the effect, but I ended up using my acoustic instead because I didn't want to carry an amp around Portland, seeing as I don't drive. I got a great cheer, and it just melted my heart. I'm glad I'm almost over the stage fright and I can just get up there and play without my nerves taking over.
