How I came to love...Bleach
I'd heard of Bleach, sure. Lots of times. But the summaries always sounded lame, and since I actually have to go hunt anime down if I want to watch it, I didn't ever consider it.
Then, a friend of mine came back to town and suggested I watch it. I'm not sure how, but she managed to send me home with several discs crammed full of Bleach. They hung out in my apartment for awhile.
Early, early one morning, or late one night, depending, something made me pop in the first disc. Maybe so I could legitimately say I gave it a shot.
Well, it hooked me right away. Like, from the first few seconds of theme song. Love at first sight. The intro was so frickin' stylish, and 'Asterisk' hasn't left my playlist since I first heard it back in January.
So it had me. And then...Ichigo. I adore Kurosaki Ichigo. I have to say he's one of my absolute favourite characters, as far as anime/manga is concerned. Oh, and the manga...
I own every english issue available, and I bought them up in record time. I only collect four series, I try not to get hooked on manga too much. But Bleach...so awesome. Tite Kubo does such a wonderful job. So stylish, and I'm always amazed at how likable his characters are. I adore so many of them, whereas in other series, I usually like one or two characters.
And so now I watch, listen, draw, read and write Bleach. Heck, I even wear it, if you count my Shinigami keychain.
I love you Bleach.
