Character: Kurogane
Pairing: Kurogane/Fay
Attack/fighting move: Anything Kurogane does in battle
Line/Speech/Dialogue Exchange:
In Oto, at the bar, When Fay tells Kurogane that he’s always been the type who waited for someone who would take him along. In the end, Kurogane was the one to take him along, take him from Celes. ^_^
Fight Scene: Kurogane vs. Kamui. Kurogane’s grin when it’s a draw is so awesome! Second place goes to when Kurogane protected an injured Fay in Oto.
Romance Scene:
In Acid Tokyo, when Fay is dying, and Kurogane hits the wall and then grabs Fay, and all Fay can do is say sorry, which he probably believes to be his last words. That, to me, is romantic.
[General Scene]
'Oh Snap!!' moment: Kurogane smacking Fay in Infinity.
Chapter: The one where Kurogane grabs Fay’s arm in Acid Tokyo. I like the conversation they have before that very much. Kurogane tells Fay to figure out where he stands, and as a result of that, Fay decides to keep watch over Syaoran, and is almost killed when he tries to keep Syaoran’s heart in him.
TV episode: None.
Chapter Spread/Cover: Chapter 71. ^_^
Outfit: Fay’s original one. I love that coat sooo much. Then, it's Kurogane's black pants/white shirt combo, and then, their collars in Infinity. >_^
What originally drew you to this manga?:
I love stories where old characters are used in a new setting.
What do you think separates TRC from other manga?:
The horrifying things that happened to Kurogane & Fay as children.
Which other manga (non CLAMP of course) does TRC remind you of (in terms of character, plot, design, anything)?:
None.
Are there any things about the manga that you don't like ie) things you wish CLAMP had done better?:
There are too many clones. And I wish they’d start drawing Fay cute again.
If you could change any aspect about the TRC (character relationships, plotlines, designs, anything) what would it be?:
Make Kurogane and Fay canon. I love those two so much, my heart would burst with happiness if they became official. Seriously.
Which CLAMP character not shown in TRC do you wish had been allowed to make an appearance?:
Clef from MKR! He was my first favourite CLAMP character.
Which character(s) did you end up changing your opinion about throughout the manga?:
Syaoran.
How did your opinion change?:
I like him a little bit now. He’s more interesting. His relationship with Sakura still irritates me, though.
Which character would you most want to party with?:
Kurogane. He likes to relax with quietly with alcohol, so he’d help me tone it down. Because if I get drunk, I’m more like Fay.
Which part in particular really truly made you cry, (that is, if you did)?:
Kurogane’s childhood! And when Fay was dying, I cried when Mokona started crying for Yuuko. And then in Celes when Fay attacked Kurogane…that just killed me.
What are you hoping will happen at the end of the manga?:
Kurogane and Fay both survive, and stay together because they want to. And if CLAMP throws in a tender scene between the two of them, all the better.
Would you want the rest of the manga to be animated:
I don’t care. The OAVs are nice, but they still don’t compare to the manga for me.
