President Faust said something really comforting in his talk last night. It helped to calm some of my nerves with the whole situation involving my dad and his "anti-mission" attitude.
I'm heading up to Gainesville at 5:30. I was suppose to head up 2 hours ago, but something came up with my cousin involving my other cousin (his sister).
That other cousin of mine. I want to like her. I really do, but my relatives make that near impossible. My relatives see her as a perfect person. She's two years younger than me. She learned how to tie her shoes before me. She learned to ride a bike without training wheels at the same time I did. She's in IB. She's graduating from a "real" high school. Even though I have a high school diploma from an actual private institution, they still see me as only having a GED. Annnnd, she's been accepted to Vanderbilt, Duke, and the Univesity of Miami among other Ivy League places. The halo they put around her head gets me motivated to not go on a mission, and just bust my butt and get my Bachelor's before her. And you know, I could do it. I really could. Hey, I could always serve a mission after I'm done with my Bachelor's. (If other attractive prospects don't enter the picture, if you know what I mean. LoL.)
I'm excited to get to see the University of Florida. And if I keep up my straight A's, I could very well get in. Well, my Associate's is suppose to guarantee me that I get in. However, admissions is so competitive that I could get waitlisted. So I got to keep it up with my A's. Maybe I'll get a blessing before I start Chemistry next week.
