Sunday work

May 20, 2007 08:17

It's 8:20 on Sunday morning and I'm at work.

Soon I'll bring my laptop out and turn on itunes for some background noise. I have about half an hour worth of work in my inbox. I might take 10 calls through the day. No new inbox work should be coming in today.

So, I will listen to music, read, write stories, talk to friends via email...

I can almost do a Sunday on autopilot. I'm doing this one on 6 and a half hours of sleep (which is a decent ammount for me) and so far feel only mildly tired. (yay!) Then I will go home and make dinner for either me or both of us depending on whether he goes out visiting, curl up with my laptop, chat with people, and try to make myself go to bed at 11 or so.

That's the difficult part about Sundays. Thursday night and Friday night I stay up as long as I want, then Saturday night is kind of in between. I don't have to get up as early for work Sundays as the rest of the week, because John's work is why we wake up so soon. It's nice, having an in between day, but it's taking some getting used to.

All and all, this is a nice work day to have.
