So the journey has moved on to Córdoba. We got into the city this morning at around 11 or so, found our apartment, and wandered around the city where in I encountered my first gypsy!
So we're walking towards The Mosque and this woman is standing right by it handing out little tiny bits of olive leaves. Thinking, rather naively, that she was handing out little tourist gifts from the Mosque... or something... she says "It's a gift!" to me, and so I, stupidly, take the thing.
She promptly grabs my hand, and starts tracing her finger along the heart line on my hand, jabbering to me in Spanish I can't understand. I start to worry, since she's pretty much got a death grip on my hands.
Enter Kyrie, my savior. She grabs me by the shoulder, wrenches my hand free of the crazy woman and says "Bryan, no! Come on!" And ushers me away. Apparently these crazy ladies cling to you until you give them money. I promptly checked to make sure my wallet was still in my back pocket.
In any case, the race for finding housing has begun and I have three options:
1. 25 y/o cat lady for 150 euro with two cats. (sans internet)
2. 19 year old college student from Spain with internet.
3. Live with Carol and Briana in an apartment near the bull ring.
We'll see what happens tomorrow!
