[He's been contemplating something since shortly after his arrival, and it's been bugging him. The majority opinion of this in Luceti doesn't particularly matter to him, but you can just say he's curious about how it holds up for the people here. And by that, he's thinking about family values. It's important to a Rogue and he could assume that ( Read more... )

I'd do anything for my family except let Raph have the last of the cocoa puffs.

[Okay. He's not sure what he meant by that exception, but he's going to go on a whim and assume that this Raph is family to him.]

Is having the last of the... er, cocoa puffs that important to you? [Hi, he doesn't know what those are.]

Well, if it was a matter of life and death, I guess he could have 'em. But he stole mine so many times it's kinda justice, you know?

[Life and death? Stole? What are these cocoa puffs?]

How many times has he stolen it that it qualifies as justice, exactly?

All the frickin time! Seriously, I hardly ever get to eat 'em 'cause he's always stuffing his face.

[Though... right now Raph can have all the food he wants in Mike's books. A. he's recovering from being starved while mallynapped and B. Luceti. There's always more coca puffs.]

[Hm. That explains a little, but not entirely all of it. It's a type of food that those two don't share often, from the looks of it. Are these legendary cocoa puffs truly worth it?]

Ah, so they're a type of food. They must be exquisite if that's the case.

They're the best! You should totally try some. They have 'em here in the store if you want some.

Do they? [He'll have to give it a shot later.] What do they look like, so I'm sure I get the right item?

They come in a box with a red bird on the cover. It says Cocoa Puffs right on it, so you can't miss it.

Very well. I'll have to keep an eye peeled for the next time I go to the store, though I'm sure it won't be too difficult, judging by your description.

There's all kinds of other cereals you can try too, if you want. Lucky Charms, Kix, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Honeycomb. If I had to pick a second favorite, though, it'd be Cookie Crisp. MmmmMm!

[... He just named five more. That is a lot to consider, especially before trying the first.]

That seems like an awful lot to work with. I think I might stick with testing out those cocoa puffs before considering another.

[Mike is a cereal connoisseur. It's natural for a beginner to be overwhelmed.]

It's a good place to start. Also, they go best with 2% milk.

[That explains everything.]

Milk as a drink, I can understand. But 2% milk?

It doesn't overwhelm the flavor like whole milk would, but skim milk is just nasty anyway. It's like the perfect balance.

I'm... sure you know what you're speaking about. I'll be sure to try it with this 2% milk of yours. [Probably not.]
