lonely like me

i am the wilted snowdrop that finds itself out of place in a garden centre in
april

i am the flower that tilts its head and tries to drink the sunlight

but never reaches close or near enough

i am the cigarette that i felt i needed to stamp out

i am the rainbow that catches on muddy gasoline puddles

i am the abandoned building sight on that corner your bike passes through;

i am the sickness you find in the hanged man

i am the light that tries to dim but never does
