everything's a whirlwind that passes me by
always a step behind and barely noticed
sometimes you have to find it some other way
and the mistakes in the past are thrown in your face
everytime you turn to look in their eyes
reminded of what happened years ago
can you just let them go and go your own way?
the ones that care wont make you guilty when you smile
but in anothers eyes you see the memories
of years ago and you must forget and forgive
not a word while wrapped up in another kiss
suddenly you cant remember the way it goes
and questions burn in the back of your throat
letting one slip you curse yourself silently
but youre dying to know if its there
stumbling in the dark of a curious mind
used to be so good at this what happened?
then you remember how he hurt you
and you wonder if this one will do the same
so scared you told yourself not to do this
but can you help not wanting to be pushed away again
a million miles away and ill wonder
what happens when you return
