I just re-realized that Christianity is definitely the biggest scam in town. I just got bored and was looking through about of christian "survival", "retreat", camps. Almost all of them are upwards of 250 dollars, for a day. One of the websites said "We're excited to see what God is going to do this summer"; it actually made me laugh out loud.
I try to ignore Christianity, I try to act like it isn't around anymore. Try to believe that no one is effected by it and that the newer generations will not fall into the same bullshit. But then I look around and there are thousands of people my age and younger flocking to these retreats and schools for Christians.
I think Christianity is alright if whoever is practicing it is not ignoring Science (natural, social, etc), history, or any part of the Bible. If you can accept and practice the entire book that your bullshit religion is built upon, then congratulations; you probably suck.
The only way to be a "Good Christian" in terms of Christians is to be abhorred with almost 60% of the bible. You have to be anti-war, anti-death, anti-homophobia, anti-sexist, and willing to listen to your children instead of stoning them to death. Christians, you cant fucking eat 70% meat. what the fuck is wrong with you. What the fuck is wrong with you. As an atheist I have more respect for the natural world (you would call it gods world), I have a higher set of morals (than the majority of Christians), and I have closure on what I will be come after I die. I fill fertilize this planet and help new life grow and hopefully succeed where I have failed; the organisms that I birth will try to be the best that they can be until they die and eventually evolution will bring their kind to the next level. We live in a much more complex world than you believe and I am shocked, because you can obviously believe a lot. I am shocked that you cannot look at the world around you and be more amazed by it than you can by an invisible man.
I am so fucking angry right now. I will be surprised if this post makes any sort of sense.
