The Charlotte Effect

I have struggled to understand Russian, not because it isn't a manageable language, but because we have class in three-hour blocks. In other subjects, this could be acceptable, but when vocabulary is involved (and lists stretch over several pages), there should be limits. Learning the past and future tenses in one period seems like a stretch when you're also memorizing a song, performing skits, and conjugating the three different classes of verbs. I would just as soon have everything in Russian if it would help me to learn faster.

I have started to read OEdipus the King for English class, but I am finding concentration difficult due to lack of sleep (waking up to sign up for the field trip). I feel old just reading it.
