I enjoy my hours of solitary confinement

Don't we all sort of want a sense of destiny about our lives? That no matter what we do or what choices we make, some things are bound to inevitably happen, and some people are simply meant to enter into our lives? Sigh...because I had another dream about mighty-morphing destiny man last night/this morning, I guess. And my alarm went off RIGHT at ( Read more... )

Before I read this comment, I was sitting in my room reading a dream book, which was of absolutely no use whatsoever. So I tossed it aside and thought, "What is it that ties all of these manifestations of this 'person' together?" And the answer is nothing. They're all vastly different, and I think that's an important discovery - each of them represent qualities that I would want in a man - the werewolf is the gruff, masculine, assertive aspect; the art teacher is creative and intuitive; the reporter is the intellect; the camp counselor is the heart and kindness; the Celtic guy is the connection to spirituality and that feeling of fate.

To answer your question, well...I can't. There are people, like my friends at school, that I haven't known very long but it seems like we've known each other for years and years. However, I don't think that's what you're talking about. I believe you're referring to a deep sort of intangible connection that kind of goes beyond explanation...right? And that's what all of the men in my dreams collectively represent - my desire for that. So, my answer, I guess, is no - I haven't met anyone like that. That, or perhaps I have and I just wasn't open to it at the time. But these dreams represent, I believe, my overwhelming desire to have that kind of bond with someone.

Well, I think the reason you feel like you have known the people at school for years and years is because you may have spent proportionately the same amount of time with them.

For example, if you had one high school class with someone all year, and you talked to them in that class half the period, by the end of the semester you may have logged 30 hours with them over 4 months.

On the other hand, filming Cole's movie I may have logged 25 hours with Kevin/Mark over 2 weeks!

So from my recollection of how you described your school schedule, you probably have logged as many hours with these friends as others you have known for years.

As for the advanced souls, it is very likely that there are few around.
