last saturday was solo/ensemble and the girls from swing choir are going to state. gyeah. our mixed chamber choirs received 1s which should automatically qualify us for state but, since the adjudicator worked with spanaway lake kids for four hours right before the contest, they get to go to state instead. : p my solo went pretty well but the weird thing is that the adjudicator this year did not send anybody to state for mezzo category, which supposedly has the biggest competition. no winners. no alternates. what a weirdo. oh well. afterward, i went to seattle with krystal to see the "translated" at studio 7. it took us forever to find that place and, yes, we did break 3239064 traffic laws on our way there and back. but oh well. it was an adventuresome night. we met up with jo, aaron, jay, and izzy there and stayed for a little over half an hour. that guitarist was quite talented and made me think of him not just as an accessories dude from guitar center. afterward we went over to krystals but i was incredibly exhausted so i left after awhile.
on sunday i went to church, hung out with my ttc crew afterward and ate thai food at peanut sauce. mmmm. yummy. then we went to alki and walked there for like an hour or so. it was so-o beautiful! then the crew went home and, while in seattle, i went to mark's party with josh and sarah and met some WEIRD strangers there. haha coughthetallguywhothoughthecouldraplikeenimemcough. it was really fun though and i finally met some of josh's friends who seemed pretty darn cool. and hott. then on my way back to tacoma i didnt wanna come home too late so i went 100 all the way and experienced several miracles as the cars that went right before me got pulled over but i didnt. from now on, though, im gonna try my best to not speed.
during the week, i jogged a whole lot, went to school, and hung out with hannah, jamie, jenny, sam, and josh a lot. our a'cappella choir went to plu for their choral festival and were told that we're superb. the best chior ever. we were quite satisfied with our performance. afterward i went to the ram with jamie and sam. man i love the atmosphere of sports bars. so loud yet pleasant! tee hee. anyhow. yesterday was my last day at work. my co-workers were a little disappointed that i was quitting after like three weeks of working but oh well. c'est la vie. our manager took us out to the lobster shop after work and then they went to seattle to hit studio b but i was overly exhausted, once again, to go anywhere in seattle and come home at like 4. so i came home at around 11, jogged, took a shower and went to bed.
oh yeah! lacrosse season started this week. they had tryouts from monday through thursday and i was oh so glad to see the boys back in training. man i love those boys! : ) our practices, games, and bus rides are gonna be fun and thankfully im not the only girl this year since we have two girl trainers. SO im uber excited for this season and hope that the boys go to state finals. haha our coaches are awesome as well (coach ryan went to west point and coach nate and that other guy went to air force academy. wut the heck! those are such hard schools to get into/graduate from! they're in their early twenties now and are so successful in life. man im jealous) so hopefully it'll happen.
me first and the gimme gimmes show tickets are sold out. im sad. the event was NOT sold out two days ago but when i checked this morning, the screen read "THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT." how tragic. sigh* oh well. at least i get to go to jonny lang's and new found glory's.
