Contradiction: Several chapters ago, Irie looks genuinely confused when Tsuna says this outloud.
Second: "The me of 10 years ago could use this time's box weapons and technology, so I shot you with the 10 year bazooka."
Contradiction: Hellooooooo? it's only being developed! and ten years ago, Irie is a mere 12-14 years old boy! what is the chance of a mere brat dragged into mafia's new weapon development research? Also, ten years bazooka should be in possession of Lambo (or Bovino family), it's unlikely for brat!Shouichi to hunt for Lambo, steal his bazooka and hunt to shot everybody else (including Hibari???)
Third: "Inside this device are your selves from this time." and Irie describes/depicts 10 people. They're actually reduced to molecular level and preserved inside.
Contradiction: and all this time, we had led to believed that that is a time machine....oh well, we'd given a hint from Mukuro dream sequence that he is 'there'
Fourth: "I am your ally"
Contradiction: ummm, what happened to those-Vongola-scums Irie? and most: what happened to "if it's not because Irie, Byakuran wouldn't be like thiiiiiiis"?
Additional uh, Five: "I put them alseep with sleeping gas in a place surrounded by Nanocomposit walls so they couldn't escape. If you try something stupid to save them I'll change it to poison gas.
Contradiction: sleeping gas shouldn't be able to affect THE INVINCIBLE HIBARIN-SAMA!!! ahem, yes that is canon, whyd'yaask?
So, what's the meaning of all this?

you know, the maximum convolute plot I can compute is this: SHOUICHI INDEED THE EVIL MASTERMIND OVERLORD BASTARD
so he saw his cards and position: the many a low lever soldiers are wiped out (thanks to INVINCIBLE HIBARIN-SAMA) during the raid; his middle level soldiers are either defeated or escaping (Gamma, Genkishi, Iris, etc); and he's left alone with 2 useless questionable underlings (the Cervello) against the unbeatable Vongola Tenth.
So what to do? well shot the Cervello and say "I am your ally" to Vongola of course. This would ensure his and his precious machine safety while he could pitted Vongola and that creepybastard!Byakuran against each other AND COULD STILL SAY "WELL, I GOT HIM TO BELIEVE IN MY MASQUERADE SO I COULD ENSURE YOUR WIN" when someone wins. Either one.
And yes, this compute well with Gokkun's "if it's not because of (Irie), Byakuran wouldn't be like this™". Because I believe Gokkun as the smartest person wouldn't able to say that were he screamed obscenities and death threats in Byakuran's face and accept it when that creepy bastard munching at his marshmallow and say firmly: "Shou-chan made me do it™" because if you do, Gokkun, I will hunt you down and shove Hibari's tonfa down your throat myself, neverminded that I'll have to steal it from him first. You made me do IT™

it probably MUKURO's possessing Shou-chan....but given this is SHOUNEN, yes a possibility that Shou-chan did a heel face turn is a likely too
