anime, several

Arslan Senki = um, kinda forgot which episode it is, but I definitely ranting when Arslan bow his head down to Gieve when the latter used 'mammonite' skill (I'm an old RO player, go on, spot the joke). Dammit new-anime! what part of dignified crown prince that you don't understand??!! (I don't have novel translation to compare, but on Arakawa's manga when Farangis save him, Arslan doesn't grovel to her in gratitude you know?? does new-anime ever seen royals act? (yes, Arslan is more nicer than the rest, but he's still brought as crown prince!! exactly what do you not understand with 'crown prince' part????

because i'm old, let's take comparison with another old manga. In Garasu no Kamen (Glass Mask), when Maya get Princess Aldis role and try to enact her role being all-friendly and all-compassionate princess, the director frowned on her acting and told her that being kind and nice, a princess still has 'distance' from other people, they don't exactly frolicking casually, you know? and yet.....and yet, the new-anime tried their best to reduce my precious um, favorite prince to be some kind of your average nice-and-kind protagonist variety *insert cry-me-a-river emoji here*

I'm flippin the desk with recap episode (after all rushing and skip, they give us recap episode? seriously????). But today is finally new season and new OP looks nice (I like the previous OP song, but that doesn't match really well with the series). new ED is not better (but I stand to my opinion that best ED for Arslan Senki is Ryoute Ippai)

anyway, new episode on this season 2, I'm not sure if making a feast first for someone that just attack you is a normal or wise thing to do. For one, it makes lajendra looks like total idiot. You want to get Arslan's head, then being defeated, and then were enjoying festivities like there's not a thing? on the old OVA, Arslan suggest alliance, Lajendra accepts, and then they go feasting, which is more makes sense in order (also, Jaswont! your appearence is moved later?) uh, need manga and novel to compare here...

eh, coming up next, Arslan and Daryun's second oath. Looking forward to it!

Shokugeki no Souma = I often times seeing this title on manga site, but since it has ecchi tag on it, decide to avoid it. Then because I'm bored, and this manga is related to food (my love for cooking manga is deeply rooted), I decide to try.............and immediately getting hooked. I think I marathoned the 12 or 13 volumes in 2 or 3 days, then hunting for anime (yes, that far).

Favorite is of course, Souma Aniki! I mean, man, the way he stood up for Megumi-chan when Shinomiya expelling her is downright manly, macho, and everything that is generating cool-ness (you goooooo! souma brooooooooooo!) Ever since then, I've been Souma's fan.
Ah, second favorite is Takumi, he's just too precious (particularly when he dramatically announced their 'good-bye for now, see you again in grand match in the future! some when!' and ended up sitting next to each other on bus home. I'm practically sold when he blushes and cry 'don't talk to me' when Soma asks him about that grand declaration. Takumiiii, why are you so cute?

last one is gekkan shoujo nozaki-kun. To tell the truth, I don't know anything about this manga and only to read it by chance when I stroll on the bookstore, then next day ended up buying the volumes.

after reading all that is manga and still thirsting for this series, ended up watching anime and oh man now I understand why people in mal had been bitching about anime quality on Arslan's anime (but there's no sword fight or anything on nozaki-kun, so maybe it's easier to have consistent quality in shoujo series............or something like that).

Anyway, another comparison is Opening song. Damn, I'm booked upon hearing it first playing
see the acoustic version here and BE AWED!!!

arslan senki, gekkan shoujo nozaki-kun, anime, shokugeki no souma
