It was then that she felt a magical energy wash over her body, making it difficult to move. What was this....some sort of control spell?
Raven was pissed. Just the idea that somebody would force her to do something against her will caused her fists to clench. The demon within her began to claw at her soul, but she did not care at the moment. She did not even think about the dangers of unleashing her emotion.
This was a spell that Raven had not encountered before. Otherwise, she would have just muttered the appropriate counterspell and continued walking without missing a step. No matter. As the spell forced her to turn around and take a step forward, Raven's entire body was surrounded by an impressive aura of pure darkness. It wasn't so much the fact that she didn't exactly want to face such a dark power once she let the spell go (which she would've needed to do sooner or later because she might get in trouble. And Raven seemed to be doing a rather good job resisting it, which meant that she may have broken it sooner or later), so much the fact that she a) didn't want to have to pay for any repairs the school would need after that and b) didn't exactly want to ruin her image of incompetence anymore than she just had.
