Yeah, this is probably more for me than anyone, but in case anyone is remotely interested in what I am doing, this is my fun schedule for the next few weeks.
Saturday, September 15th
Wait in line for Xanadu rush tickets. They are bringing back rush for one week only, and Saturday is the only day I can do it.
Company 2-year anniversary party, including lots of food, a couple movies, and a "surprise performance."
Hopefully see Xanadu in the evening, depending on how the morning went.
Sunday, September 16th
Broadway on Broadway! Free concert in Times Square in which most of the currently running shows and some of the upcoming shows perform a song. VIP seating is offered to the first 100 or so fans who dress as their favorite Broadway character. So Jacob and I are getting up REALLY early and going as Bobby and Little Edie.
<--- Little Edie (from Grey Gardens - yes, her skirt is upside down and she is wearing a sweater on her head)
Bobby (from Company) -->
This will be fun. I enjoy free stuff.
Tuesday, September 18
Howie and I will be at a free performance of Legally Blonde. It is free because they are taping it for MTV. We have to be under 25 and wear pink. I think it's airing on September 29, so look out for it!
Wednesday, September 19
The Misanthrope at the New York Theatre Workshop. Once again, gotta love free tickets!
Saturday, September 22
King Lear starring IAN MCKELLEN!! They have been sold out for months, but a friend called out of the blue a couple days ago and said that her friend can get them into a performance and did I want to come? We'll be sitting in chairs at the very back of the house, but at leat we'll be there! I literally danced in my seat at work when I found out.
Sunday, September 23
Broadway Cares Flea Market. I've never been to one of these, but they sound like a lot of fun. And lots of stars will be there! I'll need cash that day.
Saturday, September 29
So You Think You Can Dance national tour!! Yay! I get to see Sabra and Dominic and Pasha and Hok live! (Don't judge me.)
In between all these fun things, I have to study my butt off because...
Saturday, October 6
I take my subject GRE, the last step before grad school applications.
Afterwards, I am throwing a party! Hopefully a barbecue, but we'll see. It's partially to celebrate the end of the test, but I also just wanted an excuse to invite everyone over.
Sunday, October 7
Debbie Gibson live at B.B. King's. Howie had access to cheap tickets and I wanted to do something fun the day after my test, so I went for it.
"Oooooonly in my dreeeeeeeaaaaams..."
So, it's going to be a fun four weeks. Aside from, you know, all the studying and working.
During all this, I am also still going to try both the RENT and Hairspray lotteries as often as I can. Adam and Anthony leave RENT on October 7th and I want to see it at least once more with them in it.
Oh, for anyone who cares: Van Hughes is in Hairspray now, and he's already got a sizable drooling fangirl population.
Van Hughes -->
Oh, and one of the girls from America's Next Top Model got a job at my club. Anyone remember Bre? Season 5, I think (Nicole's season)? Black girl, very pretty, kind of raspy voice, strangely attached to her granola bars?
Chris Daughtry was at the club last night. His record company threw a party to celebrate the success of his album or something. I saw him on my way out.
