Astro Megaship - Wednesday Evening Fandom Time
Andros stared at the cyrogenic tube that now held his best friend. He had known that the Astro Megaship had these facilities but he had never forseen the need to use it, especially not for Zhane.
"I'm so sorry," he whispered, even though he knew that Zhane wouldn't be able to here him.
He closed his eyes. The images of the battle that had caused the fall of KO-35, still too fresh in his mind. He could see the Blue, Black, Pink and finally Yellow rangers fall first, leaving just him and Zhane to stop Dark Spectre's invasion.
There had been too many of them.
And then he had gone after a particular monster, in a desperate attempt to fight them back, the next thing he remembered was Zhane clearly shouting out, "Andros behind you!" and then, before he could register what was happening, there was a big explosion, his best friend bearing the brunt of it.
He remembered carrying Zhane's body, that was barely alive, back up to the Astro Megaship. There was only one chance for Zhane now, to be cyrogenically frozen in the hope that somehow, someday he would recover.
Andros had no idea how long he stood there, reflecting on what had transpired in the past 48 hours but in the end he finally, relucantly turned around and left the room, closing the door behind him.
He leaned against the wall outside the room, taking a deep breath to stay in control. He knew what he had to do.
"DECA," he finally said, steadying himself to make the journey to the bridge, "set a course for Earth,"
After all, he had a promise to keep.
