Room 205 - Saturday Morning

Andros had been prepared to wake up early Saturday morning to go for a run. The only problem was that when he woke up the last thing he felt like doing was moving out of bed. He groaned and tried to go back to sleep but that was hard to do with the cramps that he was currently having. It was pretty clear that he had no intention on moving any time

Max was awake and looked at her roommate with concern.

"Are you okay?"

Andros didn't really know what was wrong with him, but he still attempted to say that he was okay, "fine," but it came out fairly inaudible. The fact that he hadn't actually moved when he said it was probably an indication that he wasn't fine.

"You don't look fine," Max said. "Are you sick? Should I call a doctor or something?"

"Not sick," he mumbled, "don't know what's wrong," that came out more whining sounding then he intended.

Genetically engineered super soldiers didn't really have to deal with PMS, so Max was sadly without much of a frame of reference. "Can I get you something?" she asked, trying to recall what normal humans preferred when they were ill. "Maybe some tea?"

"Tea please," Andros said, "and could you get some chocolate?" Andros had no idea why he suddenly felt like chocolate.

"Sure, no problem," Max said. "I'll be right back."

She wandered down to the common room, put a tea kettle on and rummaged around for chocolate.

A few minutes later, she returned to their dorm room and handed both items to Andros. "Here you go," she said.

Andros made an effort to sit up and resisted the urge to just lay down again, "thank you," he said as he took the tea and chocolate.

"You're welcome," Max said. "I wish I had some idea of what was making you feel bad though."

"I don't know," Andros sniffed, tears suddenly welling in his eyes, "just woke up like this..."

The weepiness freaked Max out a little. "Um... should I... you know... call someone?"

"No," Andros continued sniffing, "no one will care,"

Something was pinging Max's radar. "Okay, this is a crazy idea," she said. "But... is it possible you're having... uh... PMS?"

"PMS?" Andros sniffed, "but I'm not a girl," he whined.

"I know... but this place is kind of bizarre," Max pointed out.

"I know," Andros whined, "it's not fair,"
