Political Views - Have you ever been struck by the similarities between the American political system and, say, the NBA? Everybody who follows it has an opinion on what they'd do if they were in charge of their team. Idiots on TV get paid to ramble on about their half-baked theories. Everybody likes to shout and gesture about how their team could beat the other guy's team. And the vast, vast majority of people have no real influence one way or the other over any of it - not that this ever stops them from going off on wild tangents about it at great length. So yeah, I don't really follow any particular political ideology anymore.

1. My favorite West Wing character is Toby for his special mix of cynicism and idealism. He knows how the world SHOULD be, but he also knows how it really is, and it depresses the hell out of him. But he can't bring himself to give up on his dreams, either.
2. I tend to be much more comfortable taking a female persona online. Take from that what you will.
3. One of the more flattering compliments I've ever received was in my freshman year of college. My history professor (I was just doing it for general education requirements) took me aside after class, asked me what my major was, and told me I should seriously considering switching to history as I had a real talent for it. I might have if there was even a speck of money to be had in history ;)

Story behind your username:

Tri: Short for Tritoch, an esper from Final Fantasy 6. My first username. Painfully generic origin, but I took to Tri. It's short, it's distinctive, it's easy to remember, and it calls to mind the word Try.

Tinandel: I needed a last name for Tri one day. Pulled this out of a database of Tolkien-made elven names. I still use it fairly frequently, especially when 'Tri' is too short for a system to accept.

EasyPrey: I got good in Neverwinter Nights and Battlefield 2. Like, really really good. And I got a bit of a big head about it. I made Easy in S4 League to remind myself not to get a big head and that I was part of a team. The name's grown on me since then.

⇒ Not a goddamn thing, really, good or bad. I pretty much live in my head.

They're doing well. Starting to get older, but doing well.

Greg and Rob. I've never met Rocky face to face and probably never will, and she isn't around much these days, but she's the one person I trust with absolutely anything.
