I'm a big kid now

Feb 24, 2009 00:28

First time getting stopped randomly on the street by police and being asked to show my gaijin card? Go me? I guess I've managed to escape it long enough until now.

Really though, it was weird, and one of them tried to talk to me about fish and chips and asked if I "knew London" when he saw I was from England. One of the others was def trying for role of tsukkomi, and responded with a quick "Of course she knows it, idiot!" which he didn't seem to think I'd catch. A smack upside the head would not have been amiss.

Speaking of awkward situations, walking anywhere near my station makes me eternally grateful that I have breasts. Otherwise I'd be harassed to go into men's clubs every step of the way by suspicious men in big jackets.

Life is relatively quiet and peaceful, and I get to eat delicious curry with delicious company tomorrow, so I can't complain.
