Moving...
Some amazingly wonderful people came by on Sunday and helped tidy the house, sort fabric, and move stuff to the new apartment! Around 10 one of my dear friends came by and loaded a dozen boxes of books plus a few other assorted boxes and moved them over to the new place while I tried to get organized for the rest of the day of fabric-sorting.
Once we got most of the tubs and bags and containers of fabric piled into the living room I dutifully stood in front of the pile, raised my hand and introduced myself. "Hello. My name is Diane, and I have a problem." There is photographic evidence somewhere...
After lunch we sorted fabric and much was given to new homes, then loaded the remaining tubs (lots!) into the cars as well as a few of the smaller bookshelves, and trekked over to the new place and unloaded!
I'm getting MUCH better on the stairs!
As much as is over there it's not halfway done yet. ::sigh:: Still a LOT more to do! Goal remains a minimum of 2 boxes per day until The Big Move Day, which has finally been set!
The movers come for the furniture on Friday, September 17.
Before then, if you're local and want to help, I'm taking help packing and cleaning sorting and things. After the 17th the old place will need to be scrubbed and the new place unpacked and put away. My schedule is insane and I'm not always home (Saturday mornings and early afternoons are spoken for already) but would love help!
