I've never tried it. Thought it might be a fun thing to try when hanging out this weekend, but none of the local stores seem to have books in stock, and I don't think there's time to get one shipped in (unless I want to pay the world in shipping charges) Thought it didn't hurt to ask! (and also figured it might be nice to borrow a book and try it before doing the Huge Investment In STUFF that I tend to do when starting a new hobby)
Oh well.... I'll just weave! It's certainly a fun thing to do! (and finabair seems to enjoy watching me...)
Last night after work I stopped by the store to pick up the couple of supply-things I didn't already have, but forgot one very important bit. I have no quilt batting. It occurred to me that I might be able to beg a square foot or so off it off you? Or possibly not as you have your quilts done by your Fantastic Quilting Person! It's no trouble to stop, but if you happened to have a few scraps about...
Appreciate it! Thanks! Not so sure about the need for "choice", as the only thing I know about batting for Temari at this point is the phrase, "Cut two pieces of batting in 3" x 6" rectangles" from the link you gave me.

Have asked musicquilts4me to suggest a "packing list" and I'd ask the same of you.
Balls?
What to use to prepare them?
Recomendations on threads?
Do I need special needles or other special supplies?
Any hints on packing appreciated!

I've made a shopping list...
I'm also thinking that, though they say #5 pearl cotton, that I'm going to stick with my #8 & #10 that I've already got for my weaving.
Wheeee!
