I have a new laptop. \o/ I hadn't expected to get one for about another month, planned to spend a bit more time considering options and making up my mind. But, Friday night I discovered that there was a big sale on computers, which ended Saturday night. And that sale included Macs. If I decided to go with a Mac, I hadn't even intended to bother

Anyway, the names look cool, though if your computer is a "she", I guess shouldn't that rule out the male names like Celebrimbor? I like Cordof best, I think. Not only is it apple, but it could sound like "cord off", which fits when you're using it on battery. *g*
Haven't noticed LJ doing anything funky with the letters when I've posted the last few days. But I still use the "old" version, so maybe it's a glitch in the new version?

LOL, yes, I had been thinking that about Celebrimbor. Like the name, but with it being such a female computer... XD Ha, I hadn't even thought about that! For a laptop, "cord off/Cordof" is particularly appropriate, isn't it!
I'll have to see if I can get it to switch back to the old version again... There've been several persistant glitches I've been encountering - some more longstanding than others - and I'm debating whether it'd be worthwhile to try reporting them.

(And hm. I haven't been having any formatting issues on LJ. But then, I've always used the html version for composing entries, and code everything manually, because I have always had issues with the Rich Text/Visual Editor versions, resulting in much hair-tearing. Don't know which you all are using.... :) )

I think I should rely more on the html version, and see if I can switch back to the older view too. I've switched back and forth on whether I use the Rich Text vs. html side, but inevitably I run into coding that I can't remember, and have to go back to the RT, and then wind up just continuing to work there... It's got such stupid glitches, though, it's incredibly annoying. :P
