First Snow, yay!

Well, we've been hearing that the unseasonably warm streak (i.e., highs in the low 60s) was bound to break soon... and looks like today it has. Woke up to snow on the ground, and it's still coming down.

I love winter. :D

We're going to be getting some of that cold air (but no snow) come blasting in this afternoon. Bye-bye, flowers. :(

Aww, I always think it's a shame to get the cold without the snow. Might as well have the pretty white blanket if it's going to feel like that, you know? But yeah, if you guys still have flowers down there... I can see how you'd not be ready for the colder turn just yet. XD

LOL! Well yes, being out shoveling for hours can tend to take away some of the charm. *g*

Fortunately, living out in the country now, there's hardly a need to actually shovel anything. We - and our guests - almost always use the side rather than the front walk during the winter, and the plow on the front of my dad's truck takes care of the driveways. So... more time to just enjoy it than when we were clearing the way in the city. XD

First-ish snow here in the West! (we had a 'snow' two days ago that doesn't really count as 'first snow' because it didn't stick.)

Sorry to take so long to reply to you! I just got a new job, and the first couple of weeks were kinda crazy. XD

I know what you mean! That first snow or two can be tantalizing, and fun to see. But when you know it's not going to stick... the real "yay, winter!" excitement tends to be reserved for a little later on. *g*
