Got the baby version of the Thor dragon done! LOL, Mjolnir looks kind of ridiculously big on his tail, but... I dunno, it seemed to work.
(Big version's
here.)
I think the next adult one done may be Coulson. Or maybe the polished version of Captain America. Or Fury. XD But I have some ideas for Coulson, so it'll probably be him.
And a bit of an update on the Cap-puppy, because I can't resist the urge to post a picture. *g*
Lookit how big he's getting! His legs are so long, it's kind of hilarious how gangly he looks sometimes.
How could that face not make friends wherever it goes? Everywhere we went people were just cooing over how sweet and polite he is. <3 He even managed to make friends with the cleaning people at the hotel, because people coming to our room was the most awesome thing that'd happened in, like, an hour, at least, and for a puppy that's practically forever.
(And yes, he is still a lap dog. Life is just too hard for a puppy to get through without hugs. He doesn't really fit well anymore, but he's got his own cuddling method: First he climbs into a lap and sits with his head tucked under your chin, or resting on your shoulder, and just wants a hug for a minute. Then, he slides down and curls into the tiniest ball he can make himself so that his whole body's in your lap - even if some limbs usually wind up dangling a bit. Then he makes happy little puppy noises and falls asleep, so that you're trapped there, because who could have the heart to disturb that sweetness? Alternately, he's still quite happy to be held on his back cradled in people's arms like a little baby.)
Really, he was all but angelic the whole trip. I was a bit apprehensive about two weeks of travelling being too much for him, but it was actually really good for him, and perfect timing. About a week before our trip he suddenly went into a phase of being absolutely terrified of being around cars. If he'd hear one even at a distance from our front yard he wanted to go inside right away, and if we took him out in public he just spent the whole time trying to hide. It was getting to the point where even things that he'd already learned not to be afraid of - like the vacuum cleaner - were suddenly scary again.
The trip was really perfect, though, because it gave him lots of time outside in public, near traffic, but in small doses at a time. And we weren't in any hurry, so we were able to spend time just standing around and letting him acclimate to things that made him nervous. By the end, he'd barely even turn to look if a car honked its horn, or passed close to him. And other loud noises? Pfft. He decided that he actually really liked the hair dryer. Kept sitting next to me when I was drying my own hair, wanting me to "dry" his face too. *g*
He learned a couple of new tricks on the trip, too - how to tilt his head and make that adorable inquisitive puppy face on command, and how to roll over. So. Cute.
Of course, after all that angelic behavior, he's been so excited over getting home that he's going through a definite wild streak. He "celebrated" yesterday by chewing almost all the way through my laptop cord. >.< Fortunately, since it'd started dying on the trip already I'd already ordered a replacement, which should be here by the end of the week. In the meantime, my awesome dad was able to solder it and patch things up enough that I think it should hold a few more days, at least...
Ooh! And, I'd meant to say something earlier - we got his shield tag! It's not as mettalic as the pictures suggested, more of a coating completely covering the tag, but it does look very nice, and since it's apparently guaranteed not to chip or wear off I've got high hopes for its durabiity.
Now that Captain's grown enough that it doesn't look ridiculously big for him, I'm gonna be putting it on his collar today. He hasn't yet gotten into the habit of holding his tags in his mouth and sucking on them like a pacifier, like Strider did, so... more likely that it won't get a ridiculous amount of wear on him. ^^
