she was the queen ballerina
the top of her class
the most graceful of all
she won trophies of brass
she danced all day long
she was healthy and strong
her steps were all perfect
they never went wrong
she wore tu-tus of white
while she danced on the stage
the big blue spot light
erased all her age
she was alike a pixie
a fairy
a devil of dance
competing against her
you dont stand a chance
a perfect fake smile
that lasts all the while
accents her perfect form
you'd recognize from a mile
It was a huge performance
a massive convention
the name of which
I won't bother to mention
she jumped up and down
she was up next
she spun 'round and 'round
her fake smile was fixed
as she stretched and prepared
her nerves flew and flared
not admitting shes scared
her emotions were mixed
the music turned on
she dove onto the stage
the blue spotlight turned on
to erase all her age
but what the crowd saw
when the blue light turned red
was a crippled old woman
who should be on death's bed
she was wrinkled and grey
an unhealthy display
rotted and deathly
a gross sight, i must say
her grace was all gone
she stumbled and fell
her steps finally wrong
she was no longer well
since the truth was exposed
the truth we'll now tell
because everyone knows
of the lies she did yell
obsessed with perfection
she ruined her soul
she killed off her body
she caused an infection
shes living a lie
obsessed with perfection
