Life is...
Coming at me real fast! I can't believe everything that is happening. I just started my first real grown-up job on Thursday. It's a daycare in Troy. I'm assistant teaching pre-k right now. It's kind of interesting because Nikki is the teacher I'm assisting (She helped to get me the job). If ten years ago, when I moved away from Auburn Hills and started school at Lake Orion, I was told that I would be working with Nikki in ten years I never would have believed it. It's interesting how things work out like that. Kind of strange. Anyway, I think I'll be assisting her for the rest of the summer while we have all the extra kids that normally would be in regular school during the day. Then I'm hoping to take over the pre-school class for a woman who is going on maternity leave. Then hopefully I'll be a "lead teacher." Hooray!
But anyway, that's only part of the reason life is coming at me so fast. In May, two of my friends, Angela and Erin got married. Nikki is getting married in the beginning of July and just moved into her new apartment. And now I just learned that my friend Becky is having a baby in like... 20 days!!! Roll that all in with me graduating and getting a full-time job, and... I guess I'm wigging out a little. We're all growing up! WEIRD!!!
On a sort of unrelated note, Nikki's bridal shower went really well. We had about 10 or 12 people that RSVP'd and didn't show, and about 2 or 3 that weren't invited and showed just the same, but it just turned out really well. Everyone loved the decorations and the food and they had a blast with the games! I'm super relieved that it went swimmingly and super glad that Nikki had a memorble shower. I'll post the pics Melissa took just as soon as I can figure out how to do that on here.
