The Weekend

Goodness what an active weekend I've had! Friday I slept in and tried pretty pitifully to make myself do homework. However, I did spend a lot of time catching up with Melissa and Angela on the phone. Then Kristen came over and we went to Applebee's and then played a rousing round of Scene it?.

The next morning I woke up and got a little prettified and Kristen and I were off to the downtown campus to enjoy Bard to Go's performance of All's Fair. I was extremely entertained. (Maria's performance was stellar) :) Afterwards, Kristen and I decided we were definitely in need of some Mr. Burger. After which, we proceeded to play Sega for the rest of the night. It was super fun and we got pretty close to the final levels of Sonic 2. Goodtimes.

And then this morning Michelle IM'd me and I was off again, this time to Michael's. That store is so dangerous. But I bought some stuff for Christmas presents and that was good. After discovering that Michael's is dumb and only half of the weekend ad featured items that were on sale for THIS weekend, we headed to my place to do a little crafting.

...three hours later... I was returning from grocery/makeup shopping with Kristen and recieved a hell of a scare when I realized my entire apartment smelled like hot glue. Michelle had forgotten to unplug the hot glue gun (which thankfully is a cool melt) and I, during the two hours I did homework before leaving for Meijer's DID NOT NOTICE! Good gravy, I suck! This is how houses burn down! I can't believe I didn't notice that the frickin' hot glue gun, located on the kitchen table, right above my head where I was reading on the futon, was still plugged in and emanating that tell-tale aroma of melting glue! *sigh. I freaked out a little but thankfully nothing was burnt and the glue didn't even really get on the table. So then I opened the sliding door to let a little cool air in and of course that let in some sort of beetle type bug thingy which I then had to smush and flush. *sigh. Craziness!

But yeah... all in all I had a really nice weekend. I can't believe how fast this semester is going. But at the same time I really really miss home. I can't wait until I get to see Nick, my family and friends from home again. I listened to some Christmas music this weekend and it really made me excited to come home for Thanksgiving and Christmas. But now... time for bed.
