Probably an odd decision to go in all this rain, but he has an umbrella handy. The rain is hardly a bother compared to an endless list of other items he can think of, mostly people

[Of course he notices Raine the moment he steps inside the shop. Which is really too bad, since he was in a fairly good mood beforehand. As far as Mithos goes, anyway.

He considers turning right around and leaving, but...no, he'll settle for pointedly ignoring her instead.]

It probably is in her best interest to ignore it, though her curiosity at least, keeps her aware of his movements while she busies herself with the plants in the area.

Could he be trying to take steps toward doing something constructive? But no, that probably would be asking for too much. She did wonder how Martel was adjusting, though. especially since she hadn't heard from the woman since her arrival a few days ago.]

[He still remembers which flowers and plants are Martel's favorites (naturally, what with him being the good and loving brother that he is), and he browses through the available flora in search of those items.

There's no way that Raine hasn't noticed him. He's somewhat surprised that she hasn't called him out, but he won't question a blessing. He does, however, make the mistake of briefly glancing over his shoulder, just to keep an eye out on her - which definitely does not fall into the category of "pointedly ignoring."]

[In that glimpse, he may notice that--completely coincidentally, of course-- some of the plants Raine is currently working with likely fall under a category of Martel's likes. How long can she focus on a specific group of plants while he's in the shop?

But she'll politely give no acknowledgement until he takes that step himself.]

[He just has the best luck. Clearly, this is cause for becoming annoyed with Raine, because it's her fault. He once again considers leaving and simply returning at a later time. But...he really wants to make Martel happy, of course.

Really, the worst luck ever.

He walks over, doing his best to appear as though he owns the place. And his best is pretty darn good, considering the thousands of years of practice. He sees no need to address her, though.]

[He can do all the strutting he wants. Raine isn't impressed. If he's deigned to approach her, there's probably a reason for it.

But the plants in front of her are "keeping" her attention.]

[On second thought... This trip to the flower shop was intended to be a somewhat pleasant outing, but there's no reason he can't utilize this time to take care of some business. He had been planning on doing so later in the day anyway, so why not get some of it out of the way? He comes to a stop nearby.]

My sister has arrived in this world. [Yes, this is supposed to be some kind of preamble.]

[So he's finally chose acknowledgement. Now, how to handle this? Calmly.]

Good afternoon to you as well, Mithos. [And then a pause.] Has she? It must be quite an adjustment for you both.

[He completely disregards the good intent in her voice - she is an enemy, and such pleasantries fit nowhere in that definition.]

Martel is adjusting just fine; I've been here to help her. [Maybe sounding just slightly defensive there.] There's nothing for me to adjust to. Four thousand years may have passed since I last saw my sister alive, but she's still my sister. Nothing has changed between us.

Why should you care about the well-being of my sister? It is none of your concern.
