movie premiere...and after party
last nite after work at the library i got a voice mail from dadriana inviting me to a movie premiere and the after party...the movie was a short (18 min) film that one of my friends had made. the star of the movie was one of my roommates from last year. the film was called "chasing rabbits". it was about a man who obsesses over painting by a woman in his friend's art class. it was really well done considering they had no budget they are not professionals. some of the camera shots were amazing. i asked the writer/director/editor/co-producer dave how he did it, all he said was "patience" i just waited alot for the right shot i wanted, b/c we didnt use lights or anything. i thought it was damn good. there were a few blips in the movie that dave told us he wanted to go back and fix, but oh well. i saw a ton of my old pc friends, those who are still at pc and those who have graduated (murphy) but came to see dave's film like me...then we went back to my roommates from last year's house and rocked out at the after party, they bought 8 bottles of champagne, 3 gallons of wine, a 30 of high life, and dadriana's brother and his g/f catered the party...it was a real party...oh and it was a sock hop, no shoes allowed inside the party there were like 25-30 pairs of shoes in the hallway, needless to say i got wicked drunk and what not, i was standing on a chair drinking out of a jug of wine at one point?, nora and taylor were making fun of me b/c im skinny and have no ass, but nora kept grabbing my ass, and charles wanted to go to bed and the party was almost dead so i left at like quarter of 2 and walked about a mile back to my house in the freezing cold, i dont really remember that much of the walk home, but i made it up this morn and got into work for 7;30 to administer my last mid-term...i rule...and now some teachers are throwing me a party tonite at the abbey at 7...and next week the whole religion dept wants to take me out...yes i can be social...
