Eureka!

I think I've found the answer. Suicide! Before you go calling the cops, hear me out.

Its not total suicide. Ending your entire life in an instant just because you aren't happy NOW is stupid. I think the answer is partial suicide. That's right, kill yourself partially. Now before you go calling the mental ward, hear me out.

I call it survival of the fittest psychology. Find what it is you want to destroy in yourself, lets go with: Depression. Every emotion inside of you has a natural enemy, something that will destroy it. Depression has a few enemies I think. The reason depression exists is becuase it is stronger than its enemies. Imagine depression as a big green monster with its enemies in chains being whipped. So what are the enemies of depression? I'm not fully sure, but here are a few: Happinees, Confidence, Love. These three are the enemies of depression. If one of these is stronger than Depression, they will kill Depression and take its place as a leading player in your emotional life. See? Its not that hard now is it. Partial suicide means killing off part of yourself, but it also means reviving part of yourself to do it so you remain whole through the process. You can do it with any part of yourself: Laziness, Gluttony, Lust, to name a few. Find their enemies through meditation, or prayer, or hitting yourself with a brick, or however you find things in your own mind and you'll soon be in control of your life again. Think of it as a revolution in your own mind.

Be warned. Depression and others of its type will not be subdued easily. They rose to their posistions through trickery and lying. They will try to save themselves the same way. You must not concentrate on the destruction of the emotion. You must concentrate on the reviving of its enemies instead. Keep a clear head and you will win the battle. If something happens that causes you to lose, do not despair. The battle is lost, but the war is not. Hope is not the enemy of any emotions, but it is the battle herald of many. False Hope is the battle herald of many as well so make sure you don't confuse the two.

(You like it? I call it Visual Psychology. I'll be bigger than Freud in no time.)
