Has anyone else discovered the wonder that is Coffeemate Mint Mocha Creamer? Becuase, holy crap, I have and I LOVE IT!!

Yesterday the Costume Shop and a few other tag alongs (aka undergrads, lol) hopped on a bus at 6 am to head towards Delaware and the Winterthur Estate. The estate was owned the the du Pont family and has been turned into a museum that houses the worlds largest collection of americana furniture which is what the last du Pont that owned the place collected. The estate was amazing. The furniture was beautiful. It was crazy to see the paintings this guy collected too. He owns the preliminary paintings for a huge painting thats in the Capital Building. He also owns a portrait of George Washinton painted by the same guy that painted the one in the White House that everyone knows. He collected china too....jesus, I havn't ever seen so much china in one place. He even owns two sets that George and Martha Washington used to own and use. Yea, I saw the plates and platters that our first president ate his breakfast off of. HAHA.

The grounds of the estate were also really nice. There was a section called the Enchanted Wood. Its the childrens section of the estate and I freakin loved it! There were big mushroom stools, a tiny table for a tea party, a giant birds nest, a large mushroom hut, a little cabin,  and giant acorns ... all in the middle of the woods! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! Very enchanting....best enchanted woods Ive been in. Then we ventured into the sundial garden and then over to the reflecting pool and gatto. We want to go back either over christmas when everything will be cover in snow or in the spring when things are in bloom because apparently du Pont loved gardens and the 60 something acre estate has some amazing flowers.

The real reason we made this trip though was to see the traveling exhibit of Movie Costumes.  It wasn't as good as the one we saw in Toronto but in this one I did get to see the Dangerous Liaisons costumes from the movie. Why couldn't we have made things like that, Shauna? lol. Just kidding. I couldn't imagine ever building something like that. They were crazy awesome. I also got to see Drew Barrymores winged costume from EverAfter and some things from Sense and Sensability, Elizabeth, Titanic, A Room with a View, and Scarlet (and some others I can't remember). And then we attended a lecture called Lights, Camera, Fashion: Fashion in Film, a professional perspective. We had a panel of Five costume designers and they talked about their experiences in the business, how they got into it, problems they have faced, funny stories,  and they gave advice and answered audience questions. The five designers have worked on a number of films (Legally Blond (1 & 2), Little Miss Sunshine, Lady in the Water, The Sixth Sense, Lost in Translation, etc...), and  theyre all at different stages in their carreers (Costume House owner, Head designers, assistant designers, dressers, etc...). It was really great.
